Skiing 3 VALLEES France

One great ski day end March 2004

Note: this page loads a relatively large JPG file (about 500KB).

Thanks to Annie's friend Mike we decide to try out the 3 vallees region in France ( ). We head up to the 'middle' of the three resorts: Meribel. Courchevel and Val Thorens are on each side. The area has 600 km of pistes, 1500 ski insctructors and a lift capacity of 260'000 per hour.

Simply awesome.

At the top of Meribel we can just barely see the top of the Val Thorens cable car

We finally are there... the Mt Blanc peak is between Mike and me (looking due north)

The top of Val Thorens cable car

Below is the panarama view ......see the Mt.Blanc looking north and the clouds over the med when looking south

use horizontal scroll bar to move towards to right side....

Some snowboarding pix on the way back to Meribel

and finally back in Meribel, spring snow

How about a cold Coke for a worn-out and thirsty guy?
